Director

Benjamin Wolff was born in Hamburg, Germany, and studied directing at the London Film School. His thesis film Like A Never Ending Sunday (2001) was an official selection at the Edinburgh and Potsdam film festivals.

Benjamin worked as a 1st AD and as a staff editor, then began directing German episodic television as he was completing his film studies. He now is an established commercial director based in Berlin, repped at The Directors Club – Frankfurt, helming spots for McDonalds, Volkswagen, Mercedes Benz, RTL, Sat1, IKEA and Hermes.

Benjamin directed the iconic “Crazy Leaders” Amnesty International commercial featuring the comedic skewering George W. Bush. The spot garnered several awards including an Epica Award – Silver, and a Best Commercial win at the 2008 Cresta Awards. In addition to his agency and corporate work, Benjamin also shoots documentary films.


Tara Lynn Orr

Screenwriter / Producer

TaraTara Lynn Orr studied acting at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, and then in London and has spent most of her life in the theatre.

Tara began screenwriting in 2010, after the birth of her second child and has completed several short and feature screenplays. Her extensive experience as an actor and insight on character development became the natural foundation of her storytelling process.

Tara is currently developing a drama feature script for avenueROAD films, slated to shoot in early 2015.

 

Philippe Brenninkmeyer
Producer

PhilippePhilippe Brenninkmeyer was born in Wimbledon, England to Dutch parents. He spent his early career in London studying acting and working extensively in London theatre. In 1996, Philippe moved to New York, and studied with renowned teacher Bill Esper two years while winning leading roles in off and off-off Broadway theater productions.

In early 2000, Philippe began to work extensively in Germany’s television & film industry, starting with his role of Christian Dolbien on Freundschaft mit Herz. He is a respected and well-recognized actor in both German film and television.

Philippe appeared on hit US productions, including Mad Men and Undercovers. He has several stand out roles in cult favorites Super Troopers & Beerfest. He also works with the comedy troupe Broken Lizard and appears in many of their films.

In 2012, Philippe founded avenueROAD Films, and Bis Gleich (Till Then) is the Los Angeles based company’s debut production. The Film was shot on location in Berlin during the summer of 2013.

avenueROAD films, LLC produces low budget, high quality character-driven films, and has offices in Los Angeles and Berlin.

Philippe Brenninkmeyer (Producer) and Tara Lynn Orr (Writer/Director) founded avenueROAD in 2012. BIS GLEICH is the debut project developed and produced by avenueROAD.

BIS GLEICH was shot in Berlin in 2013 with a German director and an accomplished international crew. To date, avenueROAD and BIS GLEICH has won over 24 awards, including Best Short Film at the Oscar-qualifying Cleveland Internatioanal Film Festival.
